Riverfront Studios Art Exhibit

Old Saratoga Books is surrounded by great neighbors. Right next door at 96 Broad Street is Riverfront Studios, an art gallery run by photographer/printmaker Linda Buerkley and painter Mike Dudley and his wife Lois Dudley. There is always an interesting ensemble of pottery, paintings, sculpture, fiber art, jewelry and usually a monumental horse or two stabled at Riverfront Studios but the current exhibition is really outstanding, as it features the Adirondack paintings of Saratoga Springs' own Anne Diggory. You can see thumbnail images of Anne's current exhibit but to see these landscapes in person is a treat. The scale and perspective of one of the mountainscapes is dizzying and I love the contrast of the acid yellow backgrounds and serene running brooks of some other Adirondack scenes.

Anne Diggory will be giving a gallery talk on Thursday, April 19th at 7 pm at Riverfront Studios. The Book Trout will see you there.
